National Pasta Day

Here's a simple pasta salad recipe to help celebrate the day set aside for one of our favorite foods.
A co-worker made this for a pot luck we had at work and I've made it many times with variations to suit the contents of my supplies on hand.

Her version:

1 box spaghetti, broken into 1 - 2 inch lengths
1 tomato-chopped
1 bunch green onions-chopped
1 bottle Italian salad dressing (oil and vinegar type)

Boil pasta until tender. Drain and toss with the other ingredients. Chill and serve.

You can use any pasta shape and add other ingredients to suit your taste. I have added canned mushrooms, black olives, or a cup of frozen spinach, thawed and drained. Or even substitute a creamy Italian salad dressing if you prefer.
