What's Doctor Who without Daleks? We'll never know, thanks to the second story aired on the show in 1963 and early 1964. The Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Susan land on Skaro and meet the most evil race to ever roam the galaxy -- before they ever left their planet.

We take a quick trip to the early '60s and meet the Daleks for the very first time. Seven episodes made up the story:

2. The Survivors
3. The Escape
4. The Ambush
5. The Expedition
6. The Ordeal
7. The Rescue

This is the storyline that saved the show from an early cancelation. We look to see what made it special. Here's a hint: Daleks. Nothing more needs to be said.
